You Don't Need to Own Bikes. Here's Where We Go Cycling as a Family.
Cycling with young kids in the UAE is one of our favourite things to do as a family — and one of the most common misconceptions is that you need to own bikes to do it. Most of our favourite spots have rental on site, and our personal approach works perfectly: we bring the kids' bikes in the car and rent adult bikes at the location. Here are our go-to spots.

Al Qudra Lakes
Flat, straight desert tracks with Careem Bike stations and other rental options on site. Scenic desert landscapes, wildlife, flamingos, and the famous Patagonian mara. One of Dubai's best kept secrets.
Ras Al Khor to D3 Park
Quiet creek-side tracks with Careem Bike. Stop at Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary to watch the flamingos, then cycle through to D3 Park with its cafes, playground, skate park, and Burj Khalifa views.
Mushrif Park
Bike rental on site with Edge Cycling. The Young Rangers Cycling Trail is the first purpose-built cycling trail for children under 12 in the Middle East — 1.5km through a beautiful forest landscape. Adults have their own separate trails.
Masaar Living, Sharjah
Bike rental on a stunning 6.6km woodland circuit through lush greenery. Café, food trucks, playground, and skate park on site. Open 24 hours. Arrive early — parking is small.
Hatta Wadi Hub
Bike rental on site for kids and adults. Short easy flat tracks as well as mountain trails through spectacular Hajar Mountain landscapes. Minimum age 10 and height 120cm for the mountain trails.

Expo City — Careem Bike through a beautifully designed urban park with playgrounds and cafes. Plenty more to explore once you lock up the bikes.
Safa Park — A 3.5km cycling path through one of Dubai's oldest and most beautiful parks, with bike rental near Gate 2. Boating lake, mini train, and fairground rides for the kids too. Entry AED 3.
Damac Hills Park — No bike rental on site so bring your own. A beautiful park with an animal sanctuary, playgrounds, a skate park, and a hidden café next to the horseriding field.
Dubai Creek Park — Bike rental on site along scenic creek-side paths. A lovely mix of nature, heritage views, and family amenities.
Kite Beach — A flat beachside track with Careem Bike rental and Burj Al Arab views, with plenty of cafes and restaurants along the way.
JBR The Walk — Careem Bike along the beach, extending via the pedestrian bridge all the way to Bluewaters Island. Ain Dubai views and loads of dining options.
