Hundreds of Flamingos in the Middle of Dubai — and It's Free

Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary is one of those places that feels impossible until you are standing there. A protected wetland reserve right in the heart of Dubai, home to hundreds of flamingos alongside herons, egrets, and migratory species during the winter months. Three bird hides give you a front-row view without disturbing the wildlife, and entry is completely free.

Open Sunday to Thursday 7:30am to 5:30pm in winter, 6am to 6pm in summer, and Friday from 2pm to 5:30pm. Free guided tours are available Sunday to Thursday between 7:30am and 2pm through Dubai Municipality.
