Seychelles by Catamaran: The Ultimate Family Island-Hopping Adventure

The Seychelles isn’t a budget family trip — but it might be one of the most unforgettable island adventures we’ve ever done.

With a direct Emirates flight from Dubai and no time difference, it’s surprisingly easy with kids. Instead of staying in one hotel, we chartered a catamaran with Navigare Yachting and explored the islands the most adventurous way possible — waking up each day in a new bay surrounded by turquoise water, granite islands, and empty beaches.

After landing in Mahé, we stepped straight onto our floating home and set off. Having a local skipper on board made everything even better — fresh seafood on deck, hidden snorkelling spots, and secret anchorages you’d never find on your own.

Every day felt like a new island adventure: swimming straight off the boat in crystal-clear lagoons, hiking small island trails, visiting giant tortoise sanctuaries, feeding fish from the deck, and chasing the best sunset anchorages.

This is what makes the Seychelles so special as a family destination — it’s not just one place, it’s island-hopping freedom at its best.
