Lost World Aquarium
Mermaids, Tridents, and an Aquarium That Got a Lot More Fun
The Lost Chambers at Atlantis The Palm is now the Lost World Aquarium, and the makeover has made it far more exciting for kids. The old Atlantis ruins are still there, but they now come with 14 themed rooms full of lights, projections and hands-on exhibits. The highlight is the live mermaid show, Return of the Trident, in the Ambassador Lagoon, which runs daily at 12pm, 2pm, 5pm and 7pm.
The interactive Trident is an extra AED 105, and we would still recommend it with kids. It is a souvenir wand that unlocks 24+ lights, sounds and hidden effects as you explore, which turns the visit into a treasure hunt. We shared one between our two and there was, of course, some arguing. UAE residents can get a day pass for AED 85 for adults and for kids aged 3–7, and combo tickets with Aquaventure are available too. It is open daily 11am to 8pm, and most families need about 1.5 hours.
Insider tip: check the Entertainer app before you buy, as the aquarium is listed as a 2-for-1.
