Dubai Butterfly Garden has been our go-to escape since our son was a baby — and it still delivers every single time. Climate-controlled domes filled with lush greenery and 15,000 butterflies across over 50 species, all fluttering freely around you. Feeding stations, cocoon windows, a Koi fish pond, and a Butterfly Museum with stunning artworks made from real pressed butterflies — it is genuinely beautiful and calm in a way that very few indoor attractions in Dubai manage to be. The staff are lovely and always happy to help the kids get a butterfly to land on their hand, which as experiences go is hard to beat.

It is stroller-friendly throughout, open year-round daily from 9am to 6pm, and takes most families between one and two hours. Tickets start from AED 55 — book online in advance as it is cheaper than the gate.

Insider tip: visit early on a weekday morning right when it opens — the butterflies are most active, the domes are quietest, and you will have the whole place almost to yourselves.
