Step Inside the Dome and Let Dubai Surprise You Again

Beyond the Dome at Dubai Festival City Mall is Dubai's first 360° immersive dome experience and it genuinely surprised us. There is no screen, no fixed viewing angle — the entire interior of the 20-metre geodesic dome transforms around you with surrounding visuals and spatial sound. We went with kids aged 4 to 10 and every single one of them was completely captivated. One of those rare experiences where nobody wanted to leave.

Three shows currently run: The Great Dinosaur Secret (ages 3+, 25 minutes), The Great Solar System Adventure (ages 5+, 24 minutes), and UNWIND: Immersive Reset (ages 16+, 25 minutes) for adults who need half an hour of quiet. We did the Double Adventure — dinosaurs followed by the universe back to back — and it is absolutely the way to do it. Tickets start from AED 65, children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Insider tip: the IMAGINE laser and water show runs on Festival Bay right outside every 30 minutes from 7pm and is completely free — a brilliant way to end the evening after the dome.
